my attempts to get hold of a 1/8th buggy were thwarted again last night as I was out bid on ebay. Was a bit of a bargain, £153 for buggy already with Novak conversion, including motor / esc / servo / battery and charger! It was a CEN Matrix, bit unusual over here, so I don't think parts support would have been brilliant, I only really needed the buggy and hence didn't want to bid more just for stuff I didn't need, good deal for someone though.

In Radio Race Car International this month there is a review of a Novak converted Associated RC8, seems really good, they beat all the nitros at a meeting in Coventry using the Novak HV6.5 system. The RC8 is pretty cheap as 1/8th scale buggies go new, but add a conversion to that and it is way too much for a bashing toy. Guess I'll have to keep watching ebay, very tempting to find a cheap hefty brushless system for my XXX-T.

Why not take your brushless out of your XXX and give it a bash in the XXX-T to see how much of a bashing tool it would be???

I was going to for the on road meeting until it was cancelled. I will need my XXX intact for this Sunday. I'm a bit reluctant to go heavily bashing with my XXX system in the T at the bmx track incase the motor cops it, as it is a bit vulnerable at the back.
