The summer is fast approaching and after the success of the steam rally last year I think we should arrange a SLMCC social event. Cars, beer and BBQ. All are welcome including family. It will not be an official meeting, just friends having fun.

Not sure of the location yet so suggestions are welcome. Southport beach maybe? I know Vintage Tamiya Club hold bash events somewhere in Preston.

When Rick posts the outdoor calendar we can talk further about dates.

I think having just a BBQ at someones house would be good this summer. I know the dewhurst household is a usual party place over the summer. What you think ste???

ermmmm I could be persuaded, our BBQ's seen better days but thats not too much of a problem, will have to be when the folks are away too but yeah its a possibility! We'd be able walk thru to the school field behind for some truck bashing too

They are called the 'North West Nutters'. Does anyone fancy holding an event outside Cumbria? I was thinking we could have a meeting and spend the rest of the day bashing with these guys. I am hoping we could bring family along. If we have an open space like a beach we could even let our 'better half's' have a go without fear that someone will die.

Seen this before. I think Ste can give them a run for their money. Rick, can we have a date in the summer calender for a bash? We also need a location. Jumps, bumps, mud would be good. What about sand. It could destroy the cars......are we bothered?

I dont think i'd like to take my cars on sand to be honest!

this is just a thought at the mo, and im not sure how viable it is, but, behing my house is an area of woodland and a school field with a BIG hill on it, and some flat stuff too! the caretaker used to get a bit shirty about people using the field at weekend etc, but not heard/seen him for a loong time

plenty of space on the field, when I had one that worked I used to take it there, no complaints!

Ok, prime location is the helm just on the outskirts of Kendal, there are loads of jumps and I used to go bashing with my T-maxx there most weekends, grass is really short too so high speeds are easy to do.
