Who is able to make the rally ? Im asking because we are able to park inside but we will be limited on how many so car sharing will be a must . Chris is going to be hiring a van for the track and will be needing a hand to load it up on the Friday the 3rd . I have asked ribble vally if they want to join in to . The money we raise will be given to the Marie Curie Cancer Care the the north west stages are supporting . It will be FIVE POUNDS to race on the day . The club cars will be there as well . If ive missed any thing let me no . :D

An interesting comment from Carl about the additive damaging the carpet. I'm not sure how old the carpet was when we got it, but I think at least 10 years and most of it running foams and additive. Maybe that's why our carpet appears sensitive to spikes.

Our old carpet was 10-20 years old which had always had spikes on it. It was a bit rough, but was absolutely fine for buggies, I think we only changed it for touring cars :(.

I think the biggest downside to pins/spikes is the actual tyres themselves wearing out.

My order of choice for tyres would have been 1:cut spikes 2:pins 3:foams (as I voted last year), if additive is a problem maybe I'd put pins first, we could limit the sets per season. Anyway we're not opening that debate now are we!?

As for this meeting it seems a simple choice between numbers and potential carpet wear on the day. I think sticking with the original decision is probably the way go, unless we really want the numbers and can actually handle them on the day (i.e. parking).

I think the members of the club are ok parking inside again . There are car passes that we can have for the over flow . I have put car sharing will be needed . Race control will be out the back of the van on the day . I dont think the debate will start again unless we buy new carpet and im not sure that will happen for a while as we need a lap top and new transponders
