That is the question but im totally drawn between the 2.
If i get the losi i would have to run rear mount till i could afford a stubby lipo/saddles,

If i get the cougar i could run straight away, but slightly prefer the options and spares of the losi and probably looks slightly nicer,

What would u prefer? And why

Luke

I've got a cougar it has it's moments, but generaly it's crap! and costs a fortune
wait for the cml centrino thing? i think i'll be having one

if you need something now how about a cheap b4 or 4.1 as it'll share parts with the centrino thing

tricky one!

I like my cougar, but I did have quite a few teething problems with the diff and bearings wearing prematurely in the gearbox, causing gears to strip. The first season with it was quite frustrating and I didn't finish many meetings. Now its working right (after learning how to build it properly and schumacher releasing several updates) I really enjoy driving it, its reliable, and i'm alot more competitive than I was with my xxx. But, Ians 22 does look fantastic and goes well too. Another consideration with the 22 is space inside (when your running mid motor) - Ians novak GTB only just fits in after a bit of messing. I think you'd need a reasonably small reciever and possibly a low profile servo too?

whichever you choose theres people running both at the club that'l be able to give you help/lend spares which is always a plus!

The Cougar does seem to present a lot of pain for it's owners, I wouldn't get it just for batteries. When working they seem to go well. I think the 22 looks great and it's a solid kit, electrics are tight but I've got a big servo, receiver and speedo and they've all gone in. Mine's been good on astro tracks, but I feel it's not quite there on grass, I'd don't know why but something isn't quite right on setup. If it was my money right now it would be an X6 ;) no unhappy owners. The CML car is going to sell well on the back of national results, it's still an unknown what it will be like in the hands of an average racer though.
