Finally tried Ste's motor today with my HV speedo. It did exactly the same as my motor :(. Seems my ESC is busted not the motor. Tested both Ste's and my motors on a GTB and they both ran fine. So my solder effort on my motor's sensor must have worked, I just didn't think the rotor shattering could have killed the motor's sensor and the ESC :( despite no smoke or melting :?.

As a repair is nearly the cost of new I'll consider the Tekin / Castle Creations offerings.

well i'm sure you all know i'm impressed with my tekin, even with the thermal problem, running 3.5, in 4wd with 12 degrees timing advance plus the variable timing on the speedcontrol it's not suprising, oh and getting a 40c lipo warm in the process i'm planning on the tekin 8th system for my truck conversion if i ever get the time and ££ to do it
