how on earth do you get a losi xxx lower on the front end ??? :? Have tryed all mounting holes and spings ect . The only way i can see is to limit the up wards travel is with a bit of rubber tube in side like you have to do on the friction shocks on the tamiyas.

One way is to put spacer behind the piston, inside the shock on the shaft.

youve not got longer than standard shock shafts or something daft like that have you?

and youve played about with the mount positions top and bottom have you? Ive not had problems getting the front low enough on my xxx before.....

something else to play with is the washers under the ball studs on the front bulkhead. they vastly effect how sharp the car turns in. The manual says there one of the biggest changes you can make to the setup and there probably not wrong!

I need more grip for my xxx :( seems a bit inconsistent - smore races I almost have enough grip, others I really struggle!

Ive not had to much trouble with grip on the rear its getting the front to work. Ive measured the shaft lenth (oo matron ) :) and there as the manual says ill try a bit if tube in the shocker and the washer on the balk head and see if that helps at the next meeting . fingers crossed it wont be as tight as last weeks.

dunno which shocks you have but the old school clamp types got cut down to clear the bolt for a few mm lower

I dunno if limiting the down travel is a good idea, it's a bit like using the droop screws to set the ride height on a touring car. I've always followed the standard set up rules of level wishbones at the front and level driveshafts at the rear, you should be able to get the front wishbones level with the shock collars right at the top, maybe with the collar a few mm off the top of the shock.
