GT5 has a firm release date of 24th November. I've just ordered for delivery on the day. Blocbuster seem to be the best price - £32.99 with promotion code XMASMEGADEAL.

Cool, can't wait. I have completed GT5 prologue now apart from the last F40 race.

Amy ordered it for my birthday back in september from amazon. Sounds like retailers are getting deliveries of it in now, so this time it MIGHT actually be coming! only 3 years overdue!!!

Woohoo only a few days to go.

What car did you use Tom in the P750 races in S class? I thought it would be cool to try and finish it, but I'm struggling to get anywhere near 3rd in Fuji :(.

Me too, I didn't seem much faster than with the Amuse S2000 I'd had for a while. I had to turn ASM on to avoid massive spins with the GT. Did you play with Quick Tune much?

I have all of the aids turned off apart from a bit of traction control and ABS. The gearing is set so the car is just about on the limiter by the end of the straight, I have the car as light as possible, so it has a little but less power, but if you have the weight on and maximum power it is very hard to brake hard as the car has a tendancy to spin. I also lower the car a bit, sliffen the suspension, increase the steering angle and thats about it. So yes, I do have a play in quick tune. If you were to use the car as standard, you would have no chance.

I sorted the gearing out, other than that I put active steering to mild and physics to standard rather than professional, this seemed to keep me on the track a lot more. I also put the racing line back on which helped a lot with braking points. I was then able to clear it pretty easily, I won by about 7 seconds. It's strange how the races go, if you can make up places early on it seems pretty easy, but if 1st to 3rd get away they just seem miles away. My laps in the traffic were 1-2 seconds faster than out in front because of the huge effect of slip streaming.

That's all the races cleared, shame I'm about 1.7 million credits short of buying the F1 car .

I'm only 1.3 million credits short of the F1 car now.

Think I've just over dosed, I found the F40 race the quickest way to earn, being only one lap, but I got hooked on trying to get a first place. I earned the 1.7 million for the F1 car, bought it, then another 400,000 before I finally got a win.

Jo was happy I finally finished, I didn't bother saying GT5 arrives tomorrow :D.

Well working from home and all that it would have been wrong of me not to give it a go when it arrived :).

Dunno what to say, seems to work, GT4 functionality with the look of GT5 Prologue. I picked up a tidy '97 FTO and did the first couple of races. Then got the B class licence. Online mode looks a lot better, look forward to playing.
