Has anyone tried running less hot brushless motors in the buggies indoors? I am thinking about running 10.5 in mine to hopefully make it a bit more driveable. Good idea or not? (obviously not from Tom and Glenn's point of view, anyone else?)

i run a 15x2 brushed last year, i know power is everything for some people but a slower motor is easy to drive and its not like there is a long strait to worry about

What you need is a 3.5 brushless system. Lock your slipper and set the throttle to 100% and off you go. Trust me, you might use full throttle for 0.00002 of a second before you crash but it will be funny.

I mostly ran a 19 turn, which is something like a 10.5. I think more power could be used, but it just gets harder to use it, probably not much point going below 8.5. I will run my 6.5L geared down because it's all I have.

Tom, is everything a 'bit more tame' than your 3.5? Except Glenn!

last year on a few occasions i was quicker than ian, round the bendy bits, but not enough to get past him, even with 4.5 power and being right on his tail onto the straight it was more or less impossiable to pass him think i should try a 3.5 this year ;-)

3.5 is the way to go. Here is another useful tip for you. Buy a 2.5, you won't need to worry about passing someone, just drive through them.
