I have noticed that the forum has been lacking in posts since the end of the out door season. I have therefore desided to spice things up.


How? well, I was hoping you would help me on this. With the winter nights closing in I'm looking for people to do some stuff of an evening to make the forum a must for all club racers and visitors.

I'm not just looking for RC related topics, hence the post in this section of the forum.

To do this we need some facilitators.

First job is to identify the committee members.
Second job, regular get togethers. I propose a committee meeting on Sunday the 8th. Can we make 10 minutes after the racing has finished on Sunday to discuss idea? Please put your name down if you can do it.

I'm up for that. I have an interesting idea for the club moving forward for the indoor season

Sounds like a plan glen count me in . One way to up the traffic on the forum would be for the club to have its own permenant track . Seems more interest to go racing at these types of tracks than our own at times. Mite just be me tho

Cool, we can discuss ideas on Sunday. By the way, someone needs to action the ideas so be carefull what you ask for.

I have tried to get people chatting on here and not had much of a responce, first thing we need to look at is attendance, i know i missed the last meeting but thats the only 1 and its been a very poor turn out since the last outdoor meeting when 4 of us turned up with no trailer etc. I know poeople have other comitments but numbers need to be picked up and fast, its along way to travel to find 5 people turn up.
The point Stu made is good people are racing at other places with a PERMANENT TRACK and who can blame them? If we had a PERMANENT TRACK people would travel to race with us.

I think our problem is we seem to have lost a lot of drivers from the club over the last 6 to 9 months. At the end of the indoor it dropped off when we went out side, and these people have not returned for the indoor as yet. Not too sure these people have left the club to race at clubs with permanent tracks, not sure if they are racing at all anymore?

I think it is the latter, But as proven with places like bury, people come from far and wide to race there.

i up for it to will see u all sunday my be dead on my feet but body will be there..
and as for permanent track i been looking at places close to crooklands and just need some input to it
