i found the skids broke quite easy i've got some super skids i can give/loan you to get started there ubreakable it's a bit tricky to get it all trimmed right to begin with too but you'll get the hang of it

Hi James,

the Honey Bee is pretty strong and even if it does break the spares are cheap. The LiPo batteries are really good too, just remember to stop as soon as they start to go flat.

Best to find a bit of space for your first flight, it's not very difficult to fly, but it will take a little while to be able to hover. You'll have to build the power up slowly and be ready to respond to which ever way it drifts, it won't just fly straight up.

If you've not already tried, it's worth having a go on a simulator, like the ones they have at Buzzflyer.

Look forward to seeing it!

Ian

i have flown it about a bit but not majorly crashed yet! my sister got me a training kit from buzzflyer which is orange balls on the end of four legs to make it more stable and i have found they really help 4 landing and take off.

i find www.heliguy.com is cheeper than buzz on most things. i crashed mine last night, looks like i've broken the main frame boss were the landing gear mounts! might have to get a bare bones one since the tail motor mount has been broken for weeks now, and the battery mount for a good few days

Honey bee lacking power & flight time, complained to buzzflyer and ordered new battery, they sent me 2  Still not enough power to take off, rotors wouldn't start without a push :( Ordered new main motor from buzzflyer. Flying again on new motor, hoping for refund, motor should last longer than this surely?? :?

it is surprising, I guess the motors aren't super high quality though. They're not really rebuildable and I believe they are sensitive to any dirt ingress. At least they're cheap though.
