 Post subject: new shoes/set up

Any advice on the inserts for the indoor rubber . do i have to trim to fit or try and get it all in there ? :? can any one help with the gearing for in doors or should i just see what happens with the set up as it stands ?

Use all of the insert on the rear and I just cut the front insert in half to fit into the tyre. I usually run quite a low gear ratio indoors. For my 3.5 i was running the largest spur I could find with a 14t pinion.

I will post my setup from last year at some point when I find it from the loft.

Proline actually suggest trimming the edges of the inserts, so the squared off bits don't bunch inside the tyre. Both the inside and outside edges of the insert. See their guide:

i trimmed the edges last year just waiting for new wheels to arrive for new tires, touring cars in bits all over the desk getting rebuilt
