Well where to start ???? Maybe buying second hand has it plus points due to the cost of the whole car new . But ironing the bugs out and sorting it out does have its down sides . the rear axels dropping out at the first jump and the diff dieing the first time out on grass ect ect easy fixes but just one thing after another . BUT I LOVE IT and i dont :D . Major change is learning how to drive it realy happy with the way i drove today(all one heat of it ) and our regional feels much better than my b4 ever did and scotts in the final cheers mate . The only down sides for me any way is your very limited to places that sell the parts to keep me going . Well that's what im finding . The AE parts of the car are easy and in some cases cheep to get ie carbon rear shock tower £9 on ebay(never repalced one due to damage) X factory rear tower from dms £22.69 + postage  . I suppose thats the down side of running a car thats not been spit out of a forming machine at 100 a min . So after the chassis meeting its maker today ill get a new one and see what happens next . Mite not be able to race as often if these big bills keep happening ive spent over £60 with dms + the £26 + postage for the new chassis . Well fingers crossed ive had my run of bad luck with the car now .

So all in all ill say buy one !! If only to try and get the parts down in price :D :D

Nice write up Stu.

I thought Paul's X6 felt great today, generally more stable than my 22 on the same tyres. I'd love to know whether the difference is weight/geometry/suspension.

One thing to add to the X6 squared comments, is that I find that there are other things I like about it other than the car. Most peaple have to make a few mods themselves to the car, such as fitting the rear sway bar and removal of the battery sections on the chassis to fit saddles. I don't mind having a play with that sort of stuff but you need to be prepared to have a go! Also, I think it is still a 'work in progress' to some extent, there is a new rear shock tower / bulk head being tested at the moment that will move the rear wing forward over the chassis.

But in the main the there is a basic set up for the X6 and there is not too much deviation from it. for example I have only ever flipped the hangers over on the back end and swapped the pink for the red springs as a mod - across the indoor and outdoor seasons.

I am now running the inline axles again and have removed the servo saver which has made the car more responsive. I am a bit more use to it now, though.

Weight and e-speed hangers both seem to make ther car better. I had about 170 / 180 grams in the car yersterday and some may say that is on the light side.

this does look interesting though, another tight fit I think!

It's had an impressive start to the Nationals. Still got my B4 as a potential donor! It looks a bit more 22, than X6, but I've no idea what the geometry is actually like. I don't think it's too bad on space, designed for saddles side by side, leaving more space in front for electronics.

if there is a price differnce, i.e. saddle chassis is more expensive, then get the normal one, it is a 10 minute job to convert it. just remove some of the webbing from the chassis.

Quite tempted by a saddle chassis myself now that I have a couple of packs of saddles for the B44. Does it make much difference?
