I have been on Southports forum recently and recieved and email asking if South Lakes wanted to join the Northern league as currently they only race at Southport and bury. What do we all think? I would be very interested.

This summer season I think you could run as a 'guest' with Lipos in the northern league. Do they run a Winter northern league season?

i've spoken to stuart about this already, and they suggested they'd be happy for us to run a round, i was waiting till we'd had a few more runs at the school to see how it panned out, infact lets have a vote, then we'll ask jim to approach the school

It was Chris Burgess that contacted me. I think that he track would be ok at Vicarage park as we can use the banking etc to make a good track. It would take some organising though.

Hi

Sorry to hijack your thread about the Northern League, but I am very keen to expand the series if we possibly can.

Currently the BRCA do not allow Lipos in regional/national events but it is likely that this will change at this years AGM. If that's the case, then the regional series in my mind will become much more popular. But as a club, SRCC allow the use of Lipo's to score points in the club competitions as long as the car using them is at least the BRCA's nominated minimum weight.

I have not had any contact from anyone yet at South Lakes, so I do not know what the clubs intentions are as to running in the North West region next year, but I and a good number of club members at Southport would welcome the inclusion of your club in the Series.

Hi chris

The man to speak to on the forum is Rick, he sorts out all of the clubs meetings.
