Took the E-Revo to the BMX track this afternoon. Had a great time, made the most of the water proofing and while speed was somewhat down on my brushless E-Zilla there was enough grunt to get some decent air. It flies and lands really nicely.

Can't wait to get some more pratice with this, already flying it better than my E-Zilla, the photo looks a bit odd, it is actually jumping the double in the foreground, it's still climbing and it does make it! Controlling it in the air was very easy, but that may actually get harder with a more powerful brushless system.

Is there such a thing as 'too much power'?

Have you been standing next to Ste when he lets one go? They have the power to strip paint from the walls.

I was off work today so went for some more bashing. I'd got two fully charged Orion LiPos and the separate Novak cut off that came with my HV-Max installed so planned to get a decent run in.

Wasn't long before I was getting bored of simple jumps, just hit them straight and you couldn't go far wrong. So I started experimenting with the throttle, the BMX track is a very hard and fine compacted gravel so I didn't fancy getting too far out of shape on the landings. So started to nail the throttle in jumps to pick the front end up, didn't have much success though, there just wasn't enough grunt to really get the nose up. Then started playing with dipping the nose on the brakes, this was a bit scary on the bigger jumps, so getting impatient decided to try a small steep jump and just nail the brakes on take off, bound to get a flip... Oh well guess I was gonna break it some time, I got about 180 degrees of flip then ran out of air and the rather massive wing spaded itself into the gravel busting the body mount. Not enough damage to stop play though and I continued until I felt the cut off, about 25 mins of continual bashing time, so not bad.

Next time will either be tackling some low altitude rough stuff at the docks or back to the BMX track with more power installed.
