Guys, what do you think of this. If the regional goes well does anyone fancy it next year? Maybe we could do one of our own.

1 car for 24 hours, that's some seriously hot speedcontrols!

You would need to either run in teams or limit the motor winds. Modern speedo should handle a 12D with ease. The biggest issue is brushed motors.

Easy, just fun a 3.5 like I do on 50% throttle, nothing gets hot at all.

Thats an option if you can do it on your transmitter.

Yeah I'm guessing a sensibly geared brushless would hold out okay, but 24 hours, that's like 72 meetings worth of racing, or 6-7 seasons for us .

288 5 min runs, gonna take some life out of some batteries, good opportunity to test the longetivity of LiPos. Even with brushless, maybe the rotor's going to be feeling some pain after that long. Probably gonna get some tired bearings and suspension by the end, it will bed the diff in nicely and be a good test of transmitter batteries too :).

Tyres  , how do you define 'one' car, cause it's probably all going to be replaced by the end!

Thats what makes it so interesting. Think about this, do you run as fast as you can and replace parts as they fail or do you take it nice and slow and preserve the car? Preping is key. The less time you spend in the pits the better.

If we do an endurance race again, can we pick teams and have some tinker time to fix our team mates cars so that they actually work.
