associated and losi are joining the slash-alies club! associated with the SC10, and losi with the strike. Maybe Ian should get one of each so we can do a comparisson!

I guess Assoc and Losi have moved on the success of the Slash in the US, hopefully they are very similar in performance out of the box such they could be raced along side. I don't know though. With the idea being spec racing I can't see a reason to buy anything other than the Slash. Seems a lot of interest in the SC10 on Oople, I guess the Slash suffers from Traxxas not already having a following at clubs in the UK.

the sc10 shares bits of b4, and quite a few people are talking about putting the gearbox, complete with geared diff into the b4

how is the club doing financially at the mo? any more thoughts on getting a slash or two or similar for prizes/letting spectators have a go?

There's letting spectators have a go and a chance for us to have a go at something a bit more bumper to bumper too. I was tempted to get another Slash so we could have a some kind of a knock out tournament through the weekend to see if they are fun to race/wrestle. What do people think?

why? surely a ball diff is better around a track than a geared diff?

With a sealed gear diff and the right fluid I guess it would feel similar to a ball diff, if not smoother. They are usually bigger, which I think is why we have ball diffs, maybe the SC10 diff is very compact.
