Looks like it could be worth a try, maybe not as safe a bet as Mamba. I'd probably go with the Mamba so as not to have the massive fan on the motor! Although I think I'm happy with Novak so long as I don't have any more spontaneous rotor disintigrations. Dissapointed I've had no replies from the customer services regarding that though.

I don't think I'l be buying another HV pro - we've had three break between us now! I've also read that alot of people's mamba monster's are failing so there maybe not as safe an option as we thought. Choices now are down to maybe trying this turnigy - its cheap! or the tekin RX8, but there lots of pennies!

The fact Traxxas and HPI have backed the Mamba and there being so many out there means I'd feel pretty safe with them. The Tekin may be super duper, I just can't be bothered working out the settings and what software version I need.

Seems Novak must have got my email after all, a new rotor arrived in the post while I was away this weekend, surprised they didn't let me know it was coming! Unfortunate that the sensor assembly itself seems damaged too :(.

tekin's dead easy, all the normal adjustmeants can be done via the buttons on the speedo much more easily than the gtb, don't even need instructions! the only thing i can think i'll actualy need the latest software for is indoors though no idea if it'll make a difference. monster trucks, just stick it in one touch setup, adjust brakes to avoid or increase front flips and go!

Yeah you're right you're not going to be worried about advanced timing and stuff. Just plug it in and go and the setup does look easier than the Novak, although the Novak's pretty good if you can actually see the LEDs on the GTB and remember how to do it.
