Still not sure I can make Saturday, can't do Sunday, off to Holland again. Is Jim going with a mower? If not, can someone collect the one I have and drop it back?

What time does the fair start? Is it usually 11am? Has Jim got the trailer?

If we are done by 15:00 I can come. Can we get there about 9.30 so we can start racing by 10:30. Might have a chance of making it if we can do that.

Cool, I will be there 09:30, but if we haven't finished by 15:00 I'm afraid I will be leaving. I have a prior arrangement and if I don't make it I will not be having "fun" for a month......if you know what I mean.......

Hi Guy's,

The School fair starts at 12.00am and finishes about 4.00pm.

To be honest 9.30 is too early as the whole point of us being there is to support the school and it's fund raising and to thank them for using and abusing their school field for no charge.

As a compromise can I suggest we get there for 10.30 ish set up and see how it goes.

We have 2 cars for the public to try and if we have finished and packed up before the fair is finished then it wouldn’t look good.

Ian has left a message with Jim and waiting for a call back.

Regards

Hi Guy's,

Looking at the post about the demo cars, it looks like Jim is struggling to collect the trailer.

Have we any volunteers.

Luckily, I can get the car from the Mrs (with tow bar) for tomorrow. Can someone meet me at the trailer at 10:15.

Can the club commitee also consider more tow bars because if I can't get the car from the Mrs, or can't make it and Jim is not available then at the moment there is no racing.
We need to think about this for the events we have commited to this summer.

What are we doing about a mower? Do I need to collect that from you Glenn?

We didn’t need a loan mower last meeting,

I presume it will have been gang mowed before this weekend.

Cool. I'll aim to get to the schoool for 10:30.

Weather looks good, might get a shower. Can't wait to get racing again, it should take my mind of the football - what was all that about last night? Engalnd - shocking!

Be good to see you there if you can make it Glenn.

Thanks for some final confirmation about the start time, glad I checked this morning as I would have been setting off at 8.30.

Not wanting to have a moan, but we need this sort of info a lot earlier that 9pm the night before the meeting.

I agree with Tom, After the football and a bottle of wine is not a good time to be discussing the start time. If it wasn't for Tom texting me this morning I would have been at the school at 09:30.

I was thinking an early start would also allow more time for the public drivers on the track, if we don't finish racing until 16:00 we would need to build a second track for the paying members of the pubic.

Never mind, moaning over. I will bring the mower just in case, get there for 10 to start mowing and help with the trailer as I might not be around to pack up.

Thanks to everyone who helped out today, it felt like a very busy day. How did people feel the 'have a go' went? Given we didn't go nuts advertising it we got plenty of interest. I found it time consuming though, along with the marshall, race, race, I wonder if we'll get any new members interested from it, that would make it worth while, but I wouldn't want to do it for so many people every week.
