What would we all think about having a day at the beach? Can we have an official club/bash meeting during the summer. Take a look at this:

http://www.northwestnutters.co.uk/video ... dale1.html

How cool would this be. I know we have tried to get a bash together with these guys before and it never came off, mainly because we couldn't get the numbers. If we make an official day in the calendar for a beach day it would help people plan. I would love to spend the day at the beach having a bash.

That's not a beach it's a car park! General advice seems to be that sand is bad, I've never tried myself though and would like to give it a go. Maybe we could do a race meeting at the beach 8). I would be up for a bash just to see how the car's hold up.

The reason I proposed a bash is because people could bring older cars and not risk modern electrics or bearings. As long as you clean it I don't think it will cause too many problems. I am willing to try a race meeting if that's what people want.

I would probably give the B4 a quick blast, but would be using the xxxt for the majority of the day.

4wd might be the way to go. The optima will be running in the sand.

Buy some more then. Really, if you clean and oil them after every run I don't see it being a problem. Or, buy a junked Tamiya off e-bay and come for a play with that.

Well, you don't need to race, put your bikini on and come for the tan and the BBQ!

Nope nope nope. I've taken one rc car to a beach once and blew the speedo up! The main problem is the extra effort needed to push thru the sand overhears everything. I've learnt my lesson!

Only if you run in the soft sand.
