Hiya, there used to be a club in Barrow about 10 years ago. But they ran out of members. I know John Trichoci (excuse the spelling) from the NNRC, he work's at the same place as me.

One possibility is that we do a two day event at the Steam gathering at Flookborough in Late July. Where you can run anything. Maybe we can look at doing a SLMCC and NNRC event there...Give you Nitro boys a run for your money LOL

Great idea Ian. I think we would need to seperate the points for our championship. Can we do this and all run in the same heats/final? If not we would need to run seperate Nitro/electric classes.

Are we going to run an endurance race this year? Can we also increase the number of heats from 3 to 5, maybe run 2 finals a day? How many people are we expecting this year?

if we have enough people i think we can easily fit in 4 rounds and a final, with an endurance race in the middle of the day, maybe an hour, i think if we stick to just an hour we can do teams of 4, so if we get 16 buggys that would work out quite well.
Also since we're on the topic of the steam fail i'm planning to go up the night before again, so if we can get the trailer up there we can have the track setup so we should be able to get started by 10am without any problems (except the obvious hangovers)

I'm hoping to get to the Steam fair sometime over the weekend but can't do the trailer Friday or Saturday. Missed the last few years but arranged holidays this year to fit, looking forward to it

Kendal was my home club 2, used to do the nws meetings involing bury, southport, chorley, leigh, oldam etc. Packed in when i was 16 due to the liking of beer and ladys. When i packed in the club carried on for a year maybe the folded.

Hi Ian, I remember racing you back in days of Carl Norris and Ian Flynn.
