Hi All,

This is a difficult one.

I contacted Rick and Tom first to inform them what the weather was like from Carnforth. Tom confirmed the same from John at Kendal. I then proceeded to make several calls. However this was difficult as I did'nt know whether they would be attending, Therefore I could be making calls to people and waking them up at 7.30 in the morning.

Do we create a rolecall the day before on the forum and with the list of numbers, which I do not wish to be published on this site, then decide to who will make the calls. (grape vine)

However the judgement has to pass from the area we are racing.

We need to discuss this next meeting.

Regards

The Chair

I am happy to pick the go/no-go information up off of the forum.

It was wet for most of the day in Halton, my 4 year daughter has discovered scalextric so we spent most of the day racing anyway! She quickly worked out the inside lane is faster and which car was the most competative. I quickly worked out she has a competative streak as big as most of you guys!!!!!

I think the easiest way to decide if racing is on or not if we are racing at Vicarage Park, is if john lets me or Ric know of the weather at 7 - 7.30am, then we can look at the weather on BBC etc... to see what it looks like doing for the rest of the morning. Then once a decition has been made this will be put on the forum for people to quickly log on in the morning to see the state of play. Alternatively, I am happy to txt all of the preston people in the morning.

But one thing I am not going to do this year, is come to racing when I know that weather is going to be bad, only to be told when we get there after an hour of discussion that yes... racing is cancelled. So thats another wasted Sunday morning.

Therefore, if the weather is looking bad on the weather reports, I am making the decition on the Saturday if I am going to race or not. If it an off-road meeting I am not really bothered if its going to rain or not as long as its not going to be torential. But if its Touring cars, any rain equals no racing for me.

Thats is, rant finished
