Hi guys, thought I would drop you a note to let you know where I have been for the last 6 months. I'm now working in Belgium with the Belgium Beer and chocs (Zoe is happy......with the chocs.......) and I have been studying for my SAP certification exam in PM module. Today I have been in London today sitting the exam and I am happy to report........ I PASSED :D ........2 years work and study all came down to 80 questions, 3 hours and a sore bottom from clenching.

So I have my life back........sort of. I will come and see you soon. As you probably know by now I have sold all my racing gear although I still have the old Optima's. I hope you have seen the XX at a few meetings with new thumbs at the controls. I was toying with the idea of new gear and a new losi or Tamiya, which seems to be going very well at the moment, but I have decided to invest my money in a new hobby. I am saving for a classic car which should keep me busy of a weekend, assuming the kids don't take all my money first.

I will try and catch up with a few posts. Not been in the forum for some time. I hope you are all well and still raising hell whenever possible. See you soon.

Glenn

good to hear from you Glenn, gonratulations on your exam! But, I am wondering where the randomness and wrongness has gone from your posts? I'vejust read two of your posts, and in neither did you flirt with Ian?!?!

I too am absent from the UK currently - in (unfortunately) cold and wet Madrid!. On the upside,
I have eaten out every night for the last two weeks courtesey of our customer :D

Looking forward to hearing more about your shenanigans, looking forward to coming home and coming racing too!!

oh, and Glenn - you really should just buy a cougar!!

Hi Glenn, great to hear from you and congrats on the exam :). We've missed you and did discuss at the AGM kidnapping you and storing you under the stage/in the trailer to ensure you didn't miss any more meetings.

The classic car is a nice idea, but really you should waste money on RCs as well as proper cars rather than just one or the other. Or another way to look at it would be rather than saving to treat the RCs as an investment, as we know stocks are risky but commodities such as energy, base metals and RC equipment are safe long term.

Either way look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon.

Well, with the way the fuel prices are up I think investment in electric is a good idea but I do like it when my money goes bang in old things......

On that note I will be sticking with my plan of driving around in something old that breaks down all the time and costs loads of money to run.

Sorry to hear you are away at the moment Ste. Its no fun eating in expensive restaurants with free beer and wine and hotel porn.....and before anyone says, "Oh yeah, sounds rubbish", let me tell you, it is rubbish.....apart from the porn.....

I will be making every effort to get to the next meeting to say "hello" and to laugh at Ian.
